- About Wearable Love Jewelry
Our pieces are lovingly handcrafted in our darling Northern California studio by women who love what they do.Â
Each aspect, from the first personalized character to the final hammer stroke, is performed by hand.We take great pride in our work and the intricate nature of it. We start with raw metal and transform it into the beautiful pieces you see. Because of the precise nature of our craft, our current production time for most pieces runs 5-7 business days.Â
   2. About our Materials
We work with a broad selection of high quality, non-conflict metals. Base metal options are beautiful, functional and affordable.Â
For those with metal sensitivities, we recommend Fine Metal. These upgraded options also offer the benefit of reduced tarnishing potential.Â
Read below for specific care instructions for both Base and Fine metals.
Our in-house operations include, but are hardly limited to, soldering, electroforming, patina, hand-casting and leatherworking. In each of these areas we value quality, environmental safety, and physical safety above all. All materials are approved through rigorous standards that focus on our staff, our customers, and the Earth.
Here’s a breakdown of the content in our metals:Â
- Nu Gold (or Red Brass) is 85% Copper and 15% Zinc.
- German Silver is 65% Copper, 18% Nickel and 17% Zinc.
- Copper is pure 100% Copper.Â
- Yellow Gold Filled is solid 14kt Gold bonded over jeweler’s Brass.Â
- Rose Gold Filled is 14kt Gold and Copper bonded over jeweler’s Brass. Copper is what gives Rose Gold its warm hue.

Exchanging for another size:
We follow precise sizing standards so we can provide a comfortable, reliable experience for our customers. To be confident you are ordering the right size, be sure to read all product information thoroughly.Â
For ring sizing, we strongly recommend purchasing one of our ring sizers prior to ordering your ring:
Ring Sizer Reusable Ring Sizing Tool
NOTE: Unfortunately, some of our items cannot be resized without compromising the piece itself. At this time, these include Sterling Silver stone rings, Turquoise rings, electroformed Raw Stone rings, Kindred Bangles and any piece that has been personalized.Â
We strive to accommodate your needs. If you need a different size or a different metal, we can help. We charge a $20 restocking or resizing fee and require you to cover shipping back to us and back to you once the alteration has been made.Â
If you are exchanging any of our patina pieces for a size that we do not have in stock, the production time may be longer than the usual 5-7 business days, as it is a multi-step process that takes time.Â
Please do the following:
- Return unworn items in their original packaging.
- Provide the full name it was ordered under.Â
- Provide your order number.
- Provide a detailed account of any conversations we shared regarding your return or exchange. If we haven’t shared any conversations I will need a detailed account as to your wish with the exchange.

  6. General Care Instructions
Each piece of Wearable Love Jewelry is handcrafted from raw materials in the United States. All our metals are genuine and jewelry grade.Â
In their purest state, many metals have the tendency to oxidize, or tarnish, when exposed to air and the oils of your skin. Typically this applies to Nu Gold, Copper and Sterling Silver. German Silver and our Fine Metal options have the benefits of reduced tarnish potential.Â
Additionally, some people notice that base metals can discolor the skin temporarily. This process is natural, harmless, and washes off easily with soap and water. If you do experience undesired reactions to base metals, we suggest a Sterling Silver or Fine Metal option.Â
To care for all your special treasures:
- Store jewelry in a sealed bag or box in a cool, dark and dry place.
- Apply cosmetics, hair products, lotions, perfumes and powders prior to donning your jewelry.
- Remove your pieces before showering, sunbathing, swimming, washing dishes, or exercising.Â
- Prevent damage and breakage by removing jewelry at bedtime.
- Handle with love and care.
If your jewelry dulls or darkens, try these simple household remedies:
- Dampen a wool cloth or handkerchief with a mixture of water and a touch of ammonia. Rub the cloth over your jewelry. Rinse with warm water. Dry thoroughly with a clean cloth, and allow your pieces to air dry completely.
- Mix neutral soap and water until soap is dissolved. Immerse your jewelry in the mixture and let soak for no more than 15 minutes. Rub using a wool cloth, handkerchief or toothbrush (excellent for working on chains). Rinse with hot water. Dry thoroughly with a clean cloth, and allow your pieces to air dry completely.
- Mix together three tablespoons of lemon juice and enough salt to make a light, smooth paste. Soak a clean cloth with the mixture and rub until sparkling. Rinse with cool water. Dry thoroughly with a clean cloth, and allow your pieces to air dry completely.
Please avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals on your Fine metal jewelry. Gentle care is essential for your long-term satisfaction.Â
A polish cloth is an excellent tool to shine up all untreated metal jewelry (not with patina, sprays, waxes etc). Consider adding one to your purchase and see the results firsthand!
Beautiful and safe polishing cloth
Reach out to us prior to making a purchase if you want to know any additional information about the products we offer by emailing hello@amywaltz.com.Â
  7. About Sterling Silver
What defines Sterling Silver is that it contains at least 92.5% pure Silver. The remaining content of this alloy is typically 7.5% Copper. Whenever possible, we source recycled Sterling so as to lessen our environmental impact.
In its purest state, Sterling Silver can oxidize, or tarnish, when exposed to air and the oils of your skin. This antiqued Silver look is desired by many, but if you wish to keep your Sterling jewelry bright, consider adding a polish cloth to your purchase.Â
Sterling Silver is typically an excellent choice for those with metal sensitivities, but if you have reacted to Silver before, we highly recommend you opt for Yellow Gold Filled or Rose Gold Filled.Â
  8. About Fine Metals
Gold is prized for its beauty, scarcity and useful properties. We use 14kt Yellow Gold Filled and 14kt Rose Gold Filled metals, as well as some other fine metal options, such as 24kt Gold Plated, Gold Vermeil and solid 14kt Gold. Gold Filled jewelry contains 99% more gold than traditional Gold Plated options, and is therefore more durable.Â
  9. About Raw Stone Jewelry
Our in-house electroforming and plating operations are intricate, scientific, and done entirely by hand. The electroforming process itself is fantastic alchemy. We use the power of precise chemistry and electricity to form unique gemstone settings and divine fine metal power pieces.Â
Copper gives off a warm, earthy glow. It is known to oxidize – or darken – over time. Some love this antiqued look, but if you wish to maintain the finish on your Copper jewelry, consider adding a polish cloth to your purchase.
24kt Gold Plated pieces are initially electroformed in Copper. They receive a “flash” Palladium coating and then go for their luxurious fine metal treatment.
Fine Silver Plated jewelry has a solid .925 Sterling Silver core. These pieces go through both Copper and Palladium processes before their final Silver treatment.
NOTE: Fine Silver is an especially soft metal. Gentle care is essential for your long-term satisfaction.
  10. About Patina
We work with Eco-friendly patinas to create vibrant wearable works of art. Eco-friendly spray sealants are an important part of the process. These low-VOC substances create a barrier to prevent the patina from oxidizing and wearing off. When your piece is delivered to you, the piece is fully cured. At that point the coating is best described as a modified resin, similar to varnish on furniture. If you have previously experienced allergic tendencies when brushing your arm against a varnished piece of furniture, we suggest you steer clear of our sprays and patinas and opt for our untreated metal pieces.Â
  11. Fit Your Cuff
Cuff bracelets are beautiful, comfortable, and versatile. Their design is flexible, allowing you to adjust and find your perfect fit.
Cuffs are intended to fit close to the skin, snugly. To fit your cuffs, gently open them up by pulling apart the sides. Slide the cuff onto your wrist and then pinch it down. A little pinch on either side of the opening in the back works well. Work with them for the perfect fit; opening them a little more in the back will adjust them for larger wrists or closing them down a bit in the back will adjust them for smaller wrists. Bend, shape, twist to suit!Â
